Consider in the real world that if Obama lost to McPalin we'd be f'n lost in the wilderness, again, and all our idealism would be effectively useless, again.
I intend to celebrate the win! And to work with other citizens of all stripes for the common good. But if I go around bad-mouthing Obama, I'm pissing in the wind. And believe me, if i wanted to, i could bad-mouth Obama.
As to the common good, all of us should question ourselves as to how our words either help or cause harm to the common good. Its an old worn out saying, but it is important to remember that it is a bad thing to cry out that there is a fire in the theater. Unless of course, there really is a fire.
For the common good, imo, being critical of Obama just to exercise our voices is tantamount to crying there is a fire even though no flame is visible, and is detrimental to the common good.
Our leaders are taking power in DC because we were united. Other citizens are watching us closely to see how long that unity lasts and whether or not we can hold it together long enough to make real change happen. We are up on the stage of the vast theater of the world; the last thing we should ever do is cry fire without a gawd-damn good reason.

New here?
Criticism is tolerated and to even infer that is not, is a knee-jerk, incontinent reaction to critics being criticized. Neither side is pure, both make hyperbolic claims myself included but for the common good, we all need to present a united face to the outside world that is watching us closely to see how we handle this newfound power.
