Fox News Cut Out From Questions At Obama's First Press Conference

Huffington Post | Nicholas Graham | November 8, 2008

President-Elect Barack Obama held his first press conference yesterday, one that focused mainly on the current economic crisis. One detail that flew under the radar, however, was which networks and newpapers got to ask questions, or, rather, which one didn't get to ask a question. As Media Bistro notes, one network who was not called upon sticks out: Fox News.

It will be interesting to see how the conservative network adjusts to a political reality in which the Democratic Party holds the White House and substantial majorities in both houses of Congress. Michael Wolff, a Vanity Fair columnist who is writing an authorized biography on Rupert Murdoch's career and family, claims that even Murdoch is embarrassed by Fox News:

2. Murdoch embarrassed?
I call BIG bullshit on that. Every publication he buys immediately takes a hard turn to the right. Plus, he gave that disgusting right-wing gasbag Roger Ailes a five-year contract extension last week.

Murdoch's laughing all the way to the right-wing welfare bank. Fucking scumbag.

11. I loved this comment by one of the members of Huff Post.
"I believe out of a sense of fair play, President-elect Obama should hold a separate news conference for the Cartoon Network, WWF, Fox News and other channels that deal in simulated reality."

It says it all perfectly.

It's not like Obama will be sending them the daily talking points.

allow particular reports "on board."

13. Let's guess what they would have asked...
Mr. Presumptive President Elect until it's discovered that you're not an American:

Seeing that you've personally overseen the greatest economic catastrophes in history, how much are you planning to raise taxes to pay for your socialist plans before giving all the money to welfare mothers so they can have more crack babies or would you just have them burn flags to keep warm while having the terrorists laugh at us?

Needs a little work.

Obama held 3 briefings this week. I don't think he has called on anyone from Fox in any of these either. They should be moved to the back row when he moves into the White House. Helen Thomas should get back her prime seat.

I am sure President Obama will treat Fox News with the respect that they deserve for their "Fair and Balanced" coverage of major weighty issues during the campaign such as the terrorist fist pump and obvious comparisons of Obama to Adolph Hitler since they both drew large crowds.
