I wonder how that would have played out. I am sure McCain would have tried to make political hay out of it, but I doubt it would have made any difference.

1. I have a friend who thinks there will be a "crisis".....
And Bush will declare martial law, keeping the presidency for another nine months.

9. Is your friend joking? Bush can hardly wait to get the hell out of there.
Even a dim bulb like him can sense he's a turd in the punchbowl.

26. Clearly Bush has checked out and counting the days.
Obama is trying to save the world while Bush is pardoning a turkey.

2. after someone informed Palin where Mumbai was
she would have gone on international TV saber-rattling the Indians. She'd never apologize for having gotten it wrong, either, just say "and there, too, with them wanting the democracy following there the people who are desiring of their government to put aside there and get movin in the not looking at which side you're on or whether someone got the name of the terrorists right because we're all terrorists there and again, as I've said, just gettin in there and helpin'..."

and POOOOOOF bright flash all gone

Ha ha...as in, none. Also a great way to vent irritations there also (but once I get rollin, I can't stop). You should hear me at parties. Whole new way to lose friends and alienate people.

I may need a Palin Vaccination. (That's gotta hurt)

5. Nope. McCain proved his lack of leadership in times of crisis.
He could have "experienced" flying every plane in the Navy and it would not have helped him.

A cool head and a deliberate hand will get you a long way in life.

The Mumbai attacks are related to the ancient conflict in Kashmir.

17. Is it possible that the terrorists postponed the attack until after the election
so that McCain wouldn't be able to use it to get elected? Maybe they thought McCain would have escalated the war in Afghanistan to northern Pakistan, where they believe the Al Queda terrorists are hiding and that wouldn't be good for their agenda to be on the run again.

19. More likely it is timed to reverse improving India-Pakistan relations
The new Pakistan government has been making noises about improving relations with India.

Some of Obama's comments have been directed to solving the Kashmir problem.

The Kashmiri Muslims and their supporters don't want this to happen.
