Pretty much everybody has seen "Its a Wonderful Life". The town was ill served by giving into a panic and nearly ruining Jimmy Stewart's bank.

Taxes are a personal obligation not to be hid or run away from. If she declines to pay tax obligations how is it different than writing a bad check or not paying a parking ticket?

Clearly she is not rich or else she would get the mental health-care she clearly needs and as such would be a recipient of such alleged redistribution schemes not a victim.

Doesn't she know what the damp earth is going to do to her money even in a coffee can? When I worked at a bank we used to get rotted remains of money and stock certificates that people buried in back yards to try to salvage when heirs or new owners used to go in to landscape and they would find these assets. No matter what they were wrapped or stored in metals rust and plastic decomposes just enough over time to let water seep in.

My investments took a hit. I have little confidence that my bank will survive for much longer. I can understand why she would see it that. I am planning on cashing out and converting to gold and guns. Guns are amazingly liquid. One of the wise things that my dad taught me was that if you have guns, you always have money as they always sell.

I am not hiding my money from Obama, but I am not in a position to let anyone else take risks with it. But even if I was hiding my money from the government and Obama, why shouldn't I? Isn't it my money?

taxes are taken by witholding from the paycheck in the first place. Once you actually have the greenbacks in the can, they are yours. It further seems unlikely that many taken with this notion actually make more than 250K a year and are at any jeopardy whatsoever.
