Who among them will emerge to be the de facto leader?

Right now...its a ZERO for their HERO...NADA

1. A rethuglican terror attack will break out. Some rethuglican will play
Edited on Sun Nov-30-08 03:00 PM by valerief
Superman and save the day according to the rethuglican plan. The rethuglican media will tout him/her as the new, "real" savior of America and the rest is playbook. Stolen election, etc., etc.

(edited to correct typo)

5. Why is CorpMedia so fixated on this question?
Edited on Sun Nov-30-08 02:58 PM by KansDem
I don't recall CorpMedia concerned with whom was going to lead the Dems "into battle" after 1994 (The "GOP Stampede") or 2000 (It was "Bush's mandate" 24/7).

F**k CorpMedia and its adherence to GOP propaganda!

7. It's early. They have plenty of time to groom a candidate.
Who had ever heard of Bill Clinton four years before he was elected?

9. The GOP's problem is that they ran out of ideas
They need more than another Ronald Reagan to resurrect the party.

When Reagan came into power, he had fresh ideas on how to govern the country which propelled the GOP in power for 28 years, until George W Bush showed the failure of those policies. Now the republican party has nothing to run on, and no single personality can save it.

11. They killed themselves by being slavishly loyal to him
That is why their problem runs so deep now. There was no real room in the Republican Party for a Chuck Hegel. Even Arlon Spector had to constantly watch his back and worry about straying off the reservation.

13. They kept counting on the rapture to come.
Figured they'd time out the game with all the old crew and then the world would end. They failed to develop any young names and faces. That's why they are grasping on to shiny objects like Palin.

14. Leader for GOP
As long as the GOP remains a "white" person's group it doesn't matter who their leader is. The republican convention looked like a party for former KKK members without robes. Our convention looked like our country looks, a mosaic of what America is. They do not have diversity (which they consider a curse word). I hope they never get it. Good riddance to a corrupt, racist, hate filled party.
