I'll be damned if the Corporate Media decides the "Tone" of the Obama Inauguration!
Edited on Sun Nov-30-08 06:48 PM by FrenchieCat
The Corporate media has been directly influential in getting Bush into the White House Twice,
instrumental in helping us get into war,
significant in helping Bush appear smarter to the masses than he ever was,
prominent in the role of Swiftboating John Kerry,
blatant in their support for Bush's economic agenda,
guilty of rewriting history to lionize Reagan,
and key in attempts to divide this country throughout this 2008 election ordeal--

I'll be damned if they will now determine "How" we the people should celebrate our victory.....

I say that we start writing letters NOW letting them know if the government can use our taxpayer dollars to bail out industries that don't give a fuck about "We the People"....
Then we certainly don't need the Corporate media, which we have had to fight every step of the way,
telling us what "Tone" our celebration should have.

I will be requesting to them via writing them letters that they ought to shut the fuck up about January 20th and start reporting the news instead of telling us what to think.

I've had just about enough of these extremely well paid assholes!

Here, read the horseshit yourselves! http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/11/26/inauguration/index.html

This will be a historical inauguration in many ways, and the country deserves to celebrate it as such.

3. Damn straight! We didn't work night and day on this in order to get "subdued"!
I want it shouted from every fucking mountain top there is that we are about to start with a new beginning. Corporate media need to go hide.......as they should be ashamed of what they have helped put us through.....and it ain't even over yet. Yes, they played a key role in ruining our economy....with their cheerleadering everything wrong.

Edited on Sun Nov-30-08 08:13 PM by TankLV
When the repukes did it, NOT ONCE did the media whores mention anything about toning it down, NOT ONCE!!!

And all during bunkerboy's occupation of AL GORE'S HOUSE - that illegal pretender to the pResidency didn't spare any expense when if ANYBODY should have foregone any "celebrations" it should have been that LOSER!!!

This has been a LONG TIME COMING!!!!

21. I don't mind if they tone down the corporate-funded inaugural balls
I remember reading at the time of Reagan's inauguration about how opulent everything was and how it meant that greed was back -- and feeling sick to my stomach. And that was even before Reagan tore out Jimmy Carter's solar panels.

I wouldn't mind one bit bypassing the pigs-at-the-trough displays of conspicuous consumption and just having an old-fashioned hoedown. That would suit me just fine.
