The Fitzgerald Factor.
I recall Rove being caught in a bold face lie trying to cover-up a crime that could be defined as treason.

When Rove was caught in this lie was he arrested ? Nope. He was allowed to testify over and over in order to keep changing his story to fit the new facts that have come forward. When Rove's story finally caught up with the facts that Fitgerald had learned, he was let off the hook.

Rove testified 5 times. Rove is a republican. Rove was never arrested.

Just saying peeps.

2. I agree.
Fits is the enemy and he applies the law on a selective basis.

3. Yes, Fitz really showed his GOP colors on this one.
Commit treason by outting a CIA agent, and you get a call to your lawyer's asking if you could drop by sometime, get a mug shot, and post bail, if it's not too much trouble. Or better yet, don't get charged at all.

Any prosecutor who didn't attempt to turn Libby, who didn't charge the others involved has to be presumed to be dirty. He couldn't be that incompetent.

6. Fitzgerald is a hero in the "Thank God it passed!" bizzarro world on DU. WTF? The guy let Rove WALK!
And I don't like what's going on here. The timing sucks.

7. Excellent observation. Fitz gave Rove 5 chances to change his testimony.
At the time of the trial, Mike Malloy had on his show Sheldon Drobny (owner of Nova M Radio), and I remember him saying he knew Fitz from Chicago politics and described him as a loyal Republican, and he advised that Democrats should not get their hopes up because they would be disappointed.

8. IMO - Fitz is an Opus Dei wannabe, spring-butt, holier than thou ...
Soldier for the BushBotBorg Administration.

When this story first broke people were lauding this tight ass as the Elliot Ness persona from "The Untouchables."

No, look deeper. Fitzgerald's person is, IMO, more akin to the uptight authoritarian Doug Neidermeyer in "Animal House."

9. Saint Fitzy.
I am as guilty as anyone for having my hopes up for this guy. I am hugely disappointed, and have been since the Plame business (which is as much Congress's fault as well), but not surprised.
