Has Fitzgerald vaulted himself onto the short list for AG or FBI Director? At |
|
least a coveted slot at the DOJ. I don't trust him but he has played a good political hand. What do you think?

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/12/11/politics/politico/thecrypt/main4664700.shtmlUnless something really awful turns up in the confirmation hearings, which is very unlikely, Holder will get the job. The GOPers just want to masturbate a bit longer over Clinton's pardon of Marc Rich.

probably because it polled the best and they can pretend to show their base that they're on the job.

Republicans can bluster and bloviate all they want--but they are as far out in the wilderness as we were four years ago.
EDIT: Aren't you the dude who posted the conspiracy theory bilge about Cheney? You're batting a thousand today.

He's not going to withdraw over Mark Rich. Not happening. He's already been grilled on it before.

12. Fitzgerald's mishandling of the Rove-Bush-Cheney treason was appalling. |
|
It's a good thing we had prosecutors with skill and courage when faced with Watergate and Iran Contra, because Patrick Fitzgerald would have blown both cases.

if there is evidence of wrong doing then he will prosecute regardless of political affiliation. I don't see it as him playing a political hand, and when a President selects an attorney general they select someone they know very well since the AG has the power to bring charges..... John F. Kennedy picked his own brother.

It would look like blackmail on Fitz's part.
Which is why it won't happen.
