4. He has treated no one else with respect
Including himself, frankly. He talks shit about every one else all the time.

6. It's the Joe Liebermans, Zell Millers and
Ralph Halls that have torn our party apart and spawned the mind speak of half our current candidates. It's a damn shame.

8. Joe is not even close to being in a political classification with them
Try looking at his voting record. he votes the liberal/left line more than 80-85 percent of the time.

That just doesn't matter to people who are obsessed with being anti-war and offended that democrats would disagree with them

10. It's not about the war
Edited on Wed Jan-07-04 11:01 PM by WillyBrandt
Or his ideology. It's about the fact that he shows no pride in being a Democrat, and sooner scolds his own party and fellow Democrats than he does fight the agenda of the Right.

12. No pride in being a Democrat?
What a pile of hooey, if I may say so. You don't know squat about Lieberman's record as a Democrat. If you look at his votes he is as good a Democratic senator than any you are likely to name. Did you know he voted against the Bush tax bill and against the Medicare bill? Did you know he has a 100% NARAL rating? He did vote for the Iraq resolution, but unlike some of the others, he stands by his vote and isn't parsing it to please the crowds. He hasn't been afraid of the hecklers who try to shout him down.

Lieberman won't be the nominee but he will always retain his dignity and all the grousing here will not take that away from him. That's more than some of the other candidates will be able to claim when the shouting dies down.

14. Locking....
Joe Lieberman is still a candidate for the Democratic nomination. And there is a thread discussing this already...without the picture.
