1. Let's see what they are later this week.
because they used to be 70% approval.

2. Why would they drop?
BTW, anything over 60% is considered huge.

3. No, that's favorability
Favorability and approval are two different measures...favorability is usually a little higher. His favorability in today's Gallup tracking was 72%. And I'm starting to think the other 28% are coming from DUers and the like, given the state of this board today!

5. No, mostly from Fred Phelps and Rick Warren and their followers
I was wondering if naming Warren to give the invocation will somehow enlighten the Christian right and all of a sudden Obama hits 100% approval ratings.

Because otherwise, it was a bad move.

Actually, it was a bad move anyway. You can't compromise other peoples civil rights even to win over people that don't like you.

I expect to see a 5% drop in the favorability / approval ratings over this.

13. Fred Phelps
of the "God Hates Fags" Westboro Baptist Church fame. The ones that travel around the country protesting at soldiers' funerals because they died for a country that tolerates "fags". (God, I find it hard even to type that word.)

15. unfortunately I don't see the Warren decision by Obama will affect his numbers one
way or the other. I think most Americans frankly don't care, and that's a shame.

4. No they didn't.
At least click the link before posting a response. The tracking poll graph of his numbers since the beginning of November is right there. He's had one day at 69% in that entire time. One. and two days at 63%. The rest of the time he's between 64% and 68%. And the 24% disapproval is a single point shy of his all time best there as well.
