Hilda Solis is one helluva great pick for Labor!
Edited on Fri Dec-19-08 11:18 PM by ZombyWoof

I was very happy this morning to learn that El Monte's very own Hilda Solis has been tapped to be our next Secretary of Labor. She had SOLID union cred, is tough, and will be an important part of President Obama's economic planning.

Take it from an Angeleno - this is one of the very best cabinet choices President-elect Obama made.

5. Yeah, she would have gone great with Becerra as trade representative
Instead now we're stuck with a "free trade" acolyte. Hopefully Becerra can lead the movement for better trade deals from within the House.

8. Second that
This is just as good as the energy pick. We are winning some of the time, anyway.

10. The Energy pick is my 2nd favorite
After these past 8 years, I will take whatever good news we can get, cabinet or policy-wise. It has been a desert of intellect and sound judgment.

I would have liked a better Interior pick (I am a National Parks activist), but again, gift horses and all, he isn't bad.
