'murka.

I watched Cnn and M$NBC today and EVERYONE was talking about it. some said what a mistake it was, the (not so obvious) haters talked about bringing people together yadda yadda...

The Prop 8 story has been re-illuminated as a result and now Muddle 'Murka is going to have to listen to this until the inauguration.

"Obama's Mistake" is going to sell a lot of airtime, and if we write, call and howl AT THEM there might be some decent coverage about the hate in the Fundy Churches like Warren pimps for.

Yelling at each other here instead of rioting nationwide probably won't change a fucking thing, but that's just me.

2. Yep.
There is a naivete with some, too who believe everyone lives the same sheltered lives they do.

While President-elect Obama has chosen to ignore the troubling beliefs of the man who will spiritually usher in his presidency, Californians can not ignore Rick Warren.

We can not ignore Rick Warren's fervent support for Proposition 8 or his mobilization of thousands of Saddleback
Church evangelical Christians to enshrine discrimination into our state constitution.

That's why we're asking you to give Pastor Warren a new invitation -- a Courage Campaign invitation
to a public debate on same-sex marriage with Reverend Eric Lee, President of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) of Greater Los Angeles.

7. I told my partner tonight while watching Rachel on the tee-vee machine...
Edited on Sat Dec-20-08 01:44 AM by libnnc
"Well, at least we have her talking about this to a large audience..."

It won't go away. Nor should it.

edit to add...

it wasn't until muddle 'murika saw the ugliness of the segregated South on the tee-vee in the '60s that things really changed...

8. I think we should do EVERYTHING WE CAN to make sure it DOESN'T go away.
and you are right, until violent racism became the centerpiece at dinner every night nothing changed.

Put up the barricades, demand equality in all areas RIGHT NOW.
