1. Hush yo mouth....
... I've seen it snow at Disney World.

When I was 10, my parents got the bright idea to go there for Christmas. Being a southerner it is the ONLY white Christmas I have ever seen.

They shut down the park.

5. Well yeah... they probably thought it was fallout from a nuclear blast...
I've seen it snow when I lived in Germany, Tennessee, Atlanta (not that often), and Detroit...

NEVER in Florida... I've only been here 8 years though...

12. I dunno... Gallium? Has a melting point around 29 degrees C or 84 degrees F..
That's off the top of my head...(Ga, Atomic Weight 31)

There are plenty of molecular substances with various melting points so it's really hard to say what you are thinking of.

Arizona hot is a different matter... I spent the summer of 2002 in Phoenix...conveniently located 6 inches from the sun... and THAT is too hot for me.

It's actually nicer here in Florida than it is in most of the south or midwest in the summer because we are surrounded by the ocean.

51. OH NOW I get it...
You are FROM here and don't realize what a good deal you've got..and you're trying to get away from Mom...

NOW it makes sense...

Only (US) places I would live where it's cold:

1) Atlanta - it's not REALLY that cold but subtract 20-25 degrees from Orlando in the Winter. I love Atlanta, it's kind of my home town after I lived there 12 years (84-96).

2) NYC - My brother lives there and there's always something to do any time of year. I prefer visiting in the spring or summer though because of the weather.

3) Washington D.C. - but only if I were to be working in gov't doing something I thought was worthwhile. This wouldn't be any worse than when I lived in TN and not much different than Atlanta.

FYI: I spent two weeks in Cambridge England in early November, it was cool but not horribly cold like I thought it might be.

...when 15 degrees feels warm.

...when they have to wait for it to hit 15 degrees so they can put crappy salt on the roads so you can drive your car around (it doesn't work below 15).

...when you don't know how much snow they're predicting because there's multiple snowstorms on the way.

72. I feel for you with my -5 last night...
I have to wait for hours now for the house to warm up. My husband likes the heater off at night so its chill baby when we wake up but we have great insulation and house only cools to 55 but that still feels cold to me.

75. I keep hearing about something called... snow.
Thankfully none of that here in Phoenix! :woohoo:
I haven't seen snow in almost 20 years. Don't miss it one bit.

81. I'd be glad to switch with you
Here it is going to be a high of 30 degrees, that's not counting the wind chill.
