In one of the more bizarre twists in recent political memory, Bill Clinton will be returning to The White House - not as ‘First Husband’ but as ‘First Pet’. At the same time, we have the answer to the most-asked question of the transition period: “What kind of dog will the Obama girls choose?”

And in a bit of historical irony, when hearing of Malia and Sasha Obama’s choice, both the President-Elect and Neo-Conservative icon Bill Kristol uttered identical sentiments, likely the only time this will ever occur, with independent responses of: “One thing’s for sure. If he’s gonna stay, he’s getting fixed.”

I consider myself a Clinton Democrat. In my mind, he's the best we've had in my lifetime.

While I supported Hillary in the primaries, I've become grateful to those who had more vision than myself. The more I see of our next President, the more I believe he will be among the best ever -- and thank God, because we need a great one now.

But I don't apologize for poking fun at anyone, myself included. I didn't create Clinton's reputation. I didn't vote for him as a faithful husband, but as a damn good President.

I will refrain from attacking Obama until he is in office. I am unpopular for suggesting others withhold judgment, even about Rick Warren (as you can see in my journal), until he is in office and we see what actions he takes.

When I agree, I'll say so. When I don't, I'll say so. I appreciate your loyalty to the Party, and I share it. But when my own mother is wrong, even she taught me to speak up.

I hope you'll give me the chance to prove to you that, whether we agree or not, I do my best to be fair. Like our President-Elect, I like to hear reasonable arguments against me, and can be shown when I'm wrong.

As far as satire against Palin, Bush, McCain, etc., if you check out my website (link at the bottom of this post), I think you'll be more comfortable with where I'm coming from.

But I do appreciate the advice (seriously). As a Newbie, I apologize if you feel I over-stepped.

Didn't mean to offend, just was taken by surprise when (what I thought was) obvious satire drew such venom. There's too much out there that being said with obvious hate. That's where I try to direct criticism. Just got the impression there are those who only show up here to trash people.
