MORE freeper reaction Franken news and MN board finalizing results:
A creepy POS like Franken would never have even been on the radar screen in this race if Americans still had any pride.

“America” is dead and gone. All that’s left is a land mass populated by cretins and parasites who have absolutely no respect for the military and who vote for big government to confiscate money from their neighbors and “redistribute” it to them. It is not an America worth defending anymore.

Whatever. I just live here.
Every man for himself.

-------------------------

The American Sheep are as stupid as words can tell.

They have voted their freedoms away. As much as they have been taught to hate Presdient Bush for doing so, they have willingly embraced the yoke of Socialism.

It’s going to be a long eight years.

--------------------------

“It’s going to be a long eight years.”

NOT if we get Sarah elected in 2012!!!! I think America will grow sick of Obammunism in less than 4 years..... <>

---------------------------

Indeed, the beginning of the end of this once great Republic. As the Greeks would say: “Those whom the gods wish to destroy they first drive them insane.” D’rat Minnesotans from here on now should be deemed certifiably insane.

---------------------------

If half the population is willing to vote for people like Obama and Franken, the war is already lost.

Hard lessons coming to all.

---------------------------

Crime now pays if you are the Democratic Party.

Successful crimes breed more (and bolder) crimes.

Watch out for the Dems to mount the most unabashed and ruthless organized crime spree in our (mostly) once-law abiding history.

---------------------------

A safer presumption is VA and NC have been infiltrated by yANKEES that taxed themselves out of the sh!th*l# northern states they left.... just so they could commit rampant voter fraud and bring their nanny state welfare lovin politics with them in an attempt to ruin the state(s) for everyone else.

----------------------------

Well, I just got done reading The Forgotten Man by Amity Shlaes chronicalling the Great Depression. It didn’t matter at all that FDR made ruinous policies that lengthened that wreaked havoc to the business world. People voted for him anyway.

He was for Change!

Our current electorate is equally economically illiterate. how else can you explain the re-election of Democrats in ghost towns such as Detroit? You would think that they would try something different given the mess they are in, but they don’t.

I don’t think we’ll see a Republican, much less a conservative in office for at least another 12 years. :(

---------------------------

Eight years? And who exactly is going to oppose Obama and his minions, the joke called the GOP? You have to be kidding. Bush destroyed the GOP because the GOP owns the coming depression. Conservatives who keep putting their hopes on that failed party fool themselves. The left doesn’t play to get even, they play to win. The RNC is still stuck in the 50’s. Reagan isn’t coming back, he’s dead. Reaganism is buried with him. We had better wake up the we can only save ourselves and it’s time for a new party that is only conservative and not a big tent infiltrated by leftists.

2. It's funny how they think Democrats redistribute wealth and grow the size of government.
It's almost as though everything they believe is the opposite of the truth.

Oh, wait...

It's EXACTLY as though everything they believe is the opposite of the truth.

20. Hmm
Technically, when you take money from one person to give it to someone else, you are redistributing wealth.

It's about time it went the other way.

These people are just parroting their talking points without stopping to look around them. They don't know any history, and don't understand that that is one of the biggest problems we have.

The red states are deadbeats, totally reliant on the federal nanny state for assistance.

31. Taxation is by nature re-distribution: the only question is how it will be re-distributed.
Will it go primarily from rich to poor or from poor to rich. For the past 8 years and during just about every Repub administration, the tax laws and loopholes mean that taxes are re-distributed from the poor to the rich. Hopefully, Obama and the Dems can re-hang that picture.

45. The Freepers agree with you.... sort of....
From a post on Free Republic: "The PEOPLE have spoken! GET OVER IT and move on!"

Of course, the post was from about legal challenges to Proposition 8. Whether a popular vote ends the matter depends on whether the vote came out the "right" way. They are scathing about the lawsuits challenging the California vote, but they're in full-throated cry for Coleman to litigate as long as possible to challenge the Minnesota vote.

24. They genuinely believe themselves to be the mainstream
And for a while, after 9/11, they were right. But they've deluded themselves that they speak for the "silent majority" and that only the "liberal media" is concealing the truth. In reality, it's more like the other way round, with the right-wing noise machine doing its best to drown out the message that Obama is very, very popular indeed and that Palin was an electoral liability in the last election.
