You realize, of course, that today the Supreme Court is safe ... for now
With the inauguration of President Obama (doesn't that sound GOOD!!!), the rational side of the Supreme Court is safe for now. Justice Ginsberg, et al., can retire (if they so choose) safe in the knowledge that their seats will not go to a wild-eyed fundamentalist.

That's ONE thing that I'm happy about today.

8. Do you remember Renhquist trying to add gold braid to his robe...??
in fact, I think he did add some of it . . . ?

Is there any more to be learned of Scalia's "cap" . . . ??

7. I don't see Hillary on the Court.
It just doesn't seem to be her "thing."

3. Isn't it too bad that more Americans were not aware of that in 2004
and especially in 2000 when so many who normally would have voted for the Democrat instead chose Nader instead and helped to give us the last 8 years.

13. Look . . .

300,000 Democrats in Florida voted for Bush in 2000 --

600+ illegal ballots in Florida were counted for Bush --

More than 6,000+ votes went to Libertarians, Socialists --

GOP fascist rally STOPPED the recounting of votes in Miami-Dade County mandated by the

Florida State Supreme Court --- and had no interference from police enforcement!

The Supreme Court then put George W. Bush in the White House.

AND . .

The press recount of votes showed that Gore won the election no matter how

the votes were counted -- including in Florida --- !!!

The Democratic Party did little then to protest -- and has done little since to eliminate

any of these problems -- EXCEPT to try to "scapegoat" the man who has told Americans about

the selling of government and legislators -- Ralph Nader.

14. Nader didn't help by claiming there was no difference between Democrats and Republicans.
I only have one reaction to the name "Nader": :puke:

including in Florida --

Meanwhile, who financed the war for Bush the last two years? Pelosi/Democrats . . .

UNFORTUNATELY -- !!!

Meanwhile: Immediately after the election, Pelosi made clear -- as captured on film --

that Democrats were elected to "end the war in Iraq."

12. Robert's two mistakes today gave me
some hope that maybe we will be able to pick another chief justice.

I think that his mental seizures he has had
showed up a little today.
