Poll question: Which team's coach do you want President Obama to call to congratulate them for their championship?
Finally, after 8 years of having a PRETENDER calling the winner's locker room, a REAL president will be doing the congratulations this year.

I want President Obama to call and congratulate....

1. The Steelers coach watches KO every night.
That's a motivator.

Good luck to the Rangers..I'd be very happy to see them play the Wings in the finals. Original Six, baby!

2. I don't *want* one way or the other, but Obama *will* be calling Tomlinson...
because the Stillers will win by 20 or more. So I predict.

7. Is their MVP referee from Super Bowl XL calling the game?
If that's the case, a Stealers win is as predictable as a Diebold election.

9. Yah - just like the other 4 they've won. You fail.
And blaming the team for a blown call is an even bigger fail.

And I'm a Seattlite.

10. Well, if those bad calls are the only way they "won" the game
Look at the stats. The Seahawks clearly played the better game in Super Bowl XL.

Now in todays game, the refs made some shitty calls as well. I honestly don't think that guy was inbounds on that last touchdown. But the Steelers won THIS game anyway, because the Cardinals really didn't show up until the 4th quarter.

Crappy refereeing in both cases, but it only really decided the game in one of them.

3. It's not going to be Wade Phillips, and that's all that matters.

4. I voted Rangers coach. That's something actually watch, every game
of every round. And then I want the Rangers to go up to Alaska and beat whichever team has the guts to play them.

But, between the Steelers and Cardinals, I have to go with the blue state. McCain doesn't deserve any kind of victory.

12. Hey waitta cotton pickin' minute Devon...
.
.

We're not lucky enough to have an NHL team in Anchorage.. so the only team they could play is the Alaska Aces, a farm team of the St. Louis Blues..

But no way the NY Rangers would ever be against Alaska!!

Scotty Gomez (2nd in points) was born and raised in Anchorage and played for the hometown Alaska Aces a couple of years ago when the NHL had their lock-out.

Scotty Gomez - Alaska Aces

Brandon Dubinsky, also of the Rangers (5th in points) is an Anchorage boy too. Both he and Scotty play on a local league here all summer along with several other Rangers.

Do you watch the Rangers on tv? We only get some of the games here.. I want to go to Madison Square Garden before the season is over this spring!!!

GoOOOoooOO Rangers! (altho' the Boston Bruins and San Jose Sharks are red HOT right now!)
.
.

President Obama

8. Go COLTS!
The Steelers went to bat for Obama in Pennsylvania. I understand his reciprocal support for the Steelers. As a rabid fan of the Indianapolis Colts, I hate the Steelers. Go Cardinals!

PS: Our support for sports teams is totally irrational.
