been polled I can't relate any experience but is this common? If so this could lead to some huge surprises. I know I have read at least 4 accounts of this and have wondered, one was yesterday here on DU. Hmmm. Thanks, lets hope people do not vote based on polls.

5. I have also never been polled |
|
And since I have never been polled, I regard all poll results with suspicion.
Here's hoping for some big surprises.

Well, I guess some of the candidates will never get many numbers after their name in the polls if they aren't included as choices, will they?
These are the so-called "scientific" polls that the media use to tell us who will win before a vote is cast?
I call foul.

4. Which is why all polls |
|
are not worth a damn thing at this stage.
I would be willing to wager that at least 50% of the polls are arranged by the individual campaigns to produce a result guaranteed to prove their person is the best thing since cream cheese.
Shame on us for getting a chubby each time a poll appears that extols our preferred candidate.

6. A poll showing significant support for Kucinich |
|
would, by definition, be a flawed poll. Business demands pollsters produce "credible" results. Notice the silence that accompanied the recent poll showing Kucinich and Edwards tied at 5%. No suggestion of momentum. No suggestion of Americans discontented over their political choices. Edwards still gets to be a serious candidate. Kucinich still gets to be a vegan and a man in search of a date.

7. The diff btw 5 and 3 percent is not that much |
|
The reason DK is so low in the polls (the ones that mention him, anyway) is that he has been painted by the media as a bit of a flake (the NY Times even used that word very recently). And that is Dennis's fault. He let them do that. Someone close to him in his campaign needs to get in his face and tell him to get his #@^% together. His volunteers and donors deserve better.

8. Quote from the letter: |
|
" I recently hung up from talking to a political pollster. He asked me whether I felt "favorable," "somewhat favorable," "unfavorable," or "somewhat unfavorable" about the following candidates: Dick Gephardt, John Kerry, John Edwards or Howard Dean. When he started to ask something else, I said, "Wait a minute. You didn't ask me about all of the candidates." "
Amazing, and peopl on DU still get post poll results as the reason to abandon all other candidates.
