Limpbaugh obsession running rampant
Sometimes I wonder who the people are that really listens to this guy and why they pay him any attention.

Guys like Limpbaugh only serve one purpose, to piss us off and derail the discussion on to meaningless tripe. He like a lot of the so called political flame throwers do not want to have a discussion on class, social and economic rot that has infected this country. If anything their tact is to blame to the workers and get folks to fight amongst eachother. Not that anyone should point the finger at the capitalist pigs raping people of the fruits of their labor.

Limpbaugh is fucking waste of time.

1. He gets paid rather handsomely for saying such ugly bile.
If there's a better way to earn a hard, good living,

don't expect him to acknowledge it. :P

2. i heard him say liberalism won't work.
you always have the "slackers". i've found this to be a problem with conservatives. they're always worried that someone who's lazy will be getting their hard earned tax money.

13. This is their whole message.
And Limbaugh HAS had an effect. His ugliness permeates society. I hear it everywhere on the net, they repeat his talking points as if they were chipped in granite.

3. I agree, but he
Gets people on his side by "claiming" to support the religious right, just another con job, and by telling people how democrats will raise taxes, take away your guns, be soft on terrorists, allow more crime, etc. These are all things that he uses to work them up, and if you are an easy person to fool, it works! These people don't look for "facts", they simply accept what Rush tells them, and his lies become their "truth"! The man plays on the weak minds of people by using fear of everything under the sun.

I agree the man is useless, but as long as there are people out in the country who are to lazy to check things out for themselves, he will have followers, although i think his numbers are dropping, and will continue to do so, their will always be some who need to be told what to do, and what to think, and he will exploit that.

4. Remember Ron Reagan started out as a paid shill for GE's corporate line.
These guys both are/were professional speakers, fed the talking points, and trained and practiced at hitting the points again and again. Apparently 40% will listen and do whatever they say. Don't discount the trouble a guy like Limbaugh can cause. Call up his local radio sponsors, (lots of car dealers etc.) and let them know you'll never buy a car from them as long as they sponsor his racist hate-mongering crap.

6. Best to encourage everyone else to not take these blowhards seriously.
Keith Olbermann says it best - it's Comedian Rush Limbaugh!

14. BULL SHIT!
We had better take them seriously. Limbaugh and his ilk are largely responsible for sowing the seeds of the many problems we face. Pumping up enthusiasm for a war of choice. Perpetuating myths about socialized medicine. Tax cuts for millionaires that contribute nothing to the economy. Limbaugh has been very damaging, as has Faux News.

9. I listen regularly
Its good to know what the other side is thinking.

Whatever you wanna say about the guy, he is hilarious. He presents himself as a defender of conservative "values." He is very skillful at what he does. His show is a very high quality production.

He is the Jerry Springer of national politics. Once you start listening, its hard to turn the guy off. I've concluded that he's not insane. But he pretends to be a RW wacko. And they love it.

His so-called arguments are right down there at the neanderthal level where his fans can easily understand them and repeat them.

10. And the WORST part of the Limbaugh obsession is the degree to which it exists on this board. NT

12. yep
people are giving him exactly what he wants, attention.

His ratings slip so he manufactures an offense he can defend by claiming he was taken out of context and as sure as the sun rising in the east we raise enough hell to keep him in the news for a week or two.

15. Yeah... yesterday, is not todays motivation as well because
We're in the middle of a crisis, and there are 'simply' more important situations needing attendance than going back and forth while the bill is written up.
