Palin's "Road to Nome" project would be on par with the Panama Canal. It will have an impact on
North American land transport much like Lewis and Clark. It will connect the Pacific with the Northwest Territory.

It will secure Palin's place in history and family fortune. Discount her
drive and it will be Madam President.

I don't see this happening any time soon. People have been talking about a road to the west coast for years, and it might not be a bad idea, but Sarah's having trouble maintaining the roads that we do have.

ed. I believe this is the operative phrase in that article. "And look at what we've got out there. All kinds of resources."

4. Are dog mushers unionized?
What about dog sled makers? I don't want to support this project unless good union jobs are created.

12. Well, with a population of 3590 (2005 estimate)...
we could buy every man women and child a nicely equipped used Cessna at 50K per copy and save over $2 billion...

13. The problem with Palin (and her actions) are in the last two words of your post
This, and everything else she does - is done because of her personal agenda. It's scary to think that someone with these priorities can greatly impact many people because of it. It would be extremely hard to convince me otherwise - that she is interested in this (or anything else) because she thinks it's the right thing to do (I'm not arguing that it is or isn't, I'm arguing that she doesn't do things without her benefit coming first).

Funny, I just read an article that Alaskan's were wondering if she's snubbing them for her DC ambitions (or if she's even working - or caring about Alaska anymore) and then today I read an article that DC Republicans think she's snubbing them as well.

Makes me wonder if she's actually doing anything beyond self-promotion...
