What's Bush doing now?
I know the answer is no one cares, but I do wonder what he does now that he finished destroying the country. When he gets up every day, what does he do now? There doesn't seem to be much in the press. For those of you with morbid curiosity, is there any information?

4. I can guess.
Right now, he's staring at the phone, wondering why it isn't ringing. He's bitter and upset that his sycophants have deserted him and his legacy. He longs to be able to surround himself with smart and influential people again, the better to make himself look smart and influential. He is annoyed that the games and little tricks he's used to playing with his underlings don't achieve the same results now.

But every day now, self-realization is creeping in. More often than not, now, it occurs to him that he was a miserable failure, that nothing he tried worked, that no matter how he tries to foist the blame off on disloyal underlings or political enemies, the fault is still his. As his self assessment becomes more accurate, his self-esteem is collapsing, and there's a bottle of Jim Beam in the pool room....

Eventually he'll have to go back into some sort of therapy--and sooner or later we'll learn he was in a lot of therapy as President, too--and the therapists will puff him up with the good ol' college cheers and flyboy braggadocio, and as soon as he begins to believe his own bullshit again, he'll leave treatment and begin his slide back down into self-realization and depression. Forever, until he descends into dementia or Hell.

Former President George W. Bush (and, for that matter, Sarah Palin) seems to ring the chimes for every single one of the nine criteria necessary to make a diagnosis for Narcissistic Personality Disorder. NPD is an ingrained personality disorder, and is not considered treatable. It will make the rest of his life a living hell. And he deserves every minute of a very long rest of his life.

15. I have the same morbid curiosity too...
I for one would love to know what he's like behind closed doors... when it's just him and Laura. Is he as completely delusional and ego maniacal as he tries to appear? Does he realize on any level what he's done? Does he realize the magnitude of the hate for him around the world? Is he trying to drink the last 8 years away? Is he in psychological turmoil?

I am fascinated by the psychology of complete and utter fuck-ups. It still astounds me how their delusions and narcissism can overcome vastly overwhelming evidence.

I hope the very worst for him. I hope he is drinking. I hope Laura leaves him. I hope his daughters are utterly ashamed of him. I hope Poppy tells him daily how he ruined the Bush family. I hope protesters dog him for years to come. I hope he sees his "legacy" exposed, ridiculed and reviled. And I hope every dead American soldier haunts him for the rest of his life. And I wish I could witness all of these things and be there for the day that it all finally sinks in.
