Obvious Choice for HHS
Bill Frist.

Number one, he's a doctor.

Number two, he's a corporate power.

Number three, he's a Republican.

Number four, he's already out of the Senate so there wouldn't need to be a deal to get a Republican to replace him.

Number five, it will show just how bipartisan Obama is willing to be.

Number six, it will reassure the pharmacy industry and the insurance industry that Democrats will not be pushing for single-payer.

See ... it make perfect sense for President Obama to nominate Bill Frist for HHS.

:sarcasm:

7. His family's company,HCA, was fined more than 1.2 Billion in Medicre/Medicaid fraud in 2001-2
So, he'd be a perfect candidate.

He could get Universal Health Care passed, siphon all federal dollars to his company to "provide" the care, and establish the policies and guidelines for providing the care.

That way, HCA could just steal the money directly and fail to "provide" the care according to policy.

The dollars would just go directly into the owners' pockets without any intermediary.

Sort of cuts out the "middleman".

5. You may just have to eat that sarcasm tag.
I would not put it past him, after all, he seems open to nominating idiots to his cabinet. This would be a monumental idiot.
