I also added that for the Republican plan to offer tax cuts on paychecks, one has to first have a paycheck.

1. Fantastic. Calling our Senators is absolutely what we need to be doing.
We too have some responsibility in getting this thing passed, after all.

2. That, and host a House Party
Over 2300 house parties and meetings have been planned already, so sign up to attend one in your area or host a house party of your own. This has the potential to be a very powerful advocate for the President, which is obviously going to be needed as we see the obstruction from Republicans already.

3. I'm in nebraska.......
I have nelson....I have left messages and written him numerous emails. In the last one I told him that I know he's beloved here and I'm a newcomer but he's a piece of shit and I have no idea why he's a democrat.

5. Thanks. It is important to call senators like Nelson
since, no doubt, they are swamped with calls from freepers. I know that Amy Klobuchar will vote yes, but it is important for our voices to be heard against the tidal wave of the freepers.

6. So, you hope to sway him by telling him he is a piece of shit?
Not the approach I took (and I too live in Nebraska).

7. those weren't my exact words but I hope he got the message...
yes, I can't get used to this guy who has love fest pictures on his website with gwb and acts as if he's a republican. Maybe in my 8 months here, I haven't gotten used to Dems that act the way he does.

9. You need to realize our role in this war.
Sure, I would love to have a much more liberal Senator, but if you moved Kennedy or Kerry here, there is no way in hell he would get elected. We live in freakin Nebraska and managed to elect a Democrat to the Senate. Of course he is going to be somewhat conservative. As far as I am concerned, my role is to get as many Democrats into the Senate as possible (to gain the numbers) and then let the more liberal states elect the policy setters.
