So How Long Before Obama Gets Fed Up With Republican't Obstructionism? |
|
Or will he? Ever? I am mindful of the fact that when he ran in the primary and then the general there was a feeling that he should fight back, trading blow for blow. He kept his cool and won. Is this part of the same strategy or does he need to take the gloves off now?

4. I'll bet he knows that they're going to spend his whole administration |

trying to take him down--he's not naive. He's made public gestures of bipartisanship that the average American can see and understand, which buys him some goodwill--now let's see if he can spend some of that goodwill and put his foot down when it's crunch time.

5. He Certainly Isn't Naive |
|
And I think he's smarter and more cunning than they even know. However, just as with a child having a tantrum and needs a time out, he may have to play daddy and put his foot down.

6. Obama will be the good cop to Congress' bad cop |
|
Thats what I think will happen. He'll always rise above, while Pelosi, Reid, and company will be the same partisan bunch as always.

stimulus plan. "A group of Republican senators drafted an alternative stimulus measure that narrows government spending to infrastructure programs and helping unemployed Americans, addresses the housing crisis and relies mostly on tax cuts." The Rep. want bailouts, and tax cuts for the rich-period. Everything else in President Obama's stimulus package is pork! It will be interesting to see how this is worked out.
