Krugman is brilliant! He won the Nobel Prize!
except when he mildly criticizes Obama! Then he's a troll!

1. "Mild" is right. I remember the primaries... Krugman's current criticism is nothing compared to that

13. Yeah, Krugman was gratuitiously bashing Obama
and he made an ass of himself.

I'm sure he's brilliant but I don't think much of his tactics.

2. Krugman was a cheap-labor, offshoring shill
He even wrote an article entitled, "In Praise of Cheap Labor." I've never really understood why he and Robert Reich are considered "liberal" economists.

5. I remember that article
How that man is considered a liberal is beyond me. Neo-liberal maybe, but not liberal.

3. Milton Friedman won a Nobel Prize too.
Yes, Krugman is smart but try a better defense of him than Appeal To Authority fallacies.

6. defense from what?
he needs a "defense" for mildly criticizing Obama?

Krugman writes a blog post criticizing Obama, I don't defend it, I read it. Just like I would if he were praising Obama.

7. Then what's the point of this OP?
Either defend what Krugman wrote about Obama on its merits, or don't. But don't remind me that he's a Nobel Prize winner and expect that to mean a hill of beans to me WRT Krugman's opinion on anything Obama does.

14. He was the epitome of wrong.
The word "wrong" should have his picture next to it in the dictionary, along with "fail".

17. I'll agree with that
I had a Professor who tried to explain to me that Milton Friedman had good intentions and that one of his goals was to stop government tyranny. I replied with, "Umm have you ever heard of a guy named Pinochet?"

Just because he won a Nobel Prize doesn't mean his words are golden or that he is right all the time
