Obama's not taking no from the Pubs on this is a nice turn of events. DTV is an underfunded program that needs extension. It is an example of Government mismanagement. The train wreck that was about to ensue would have become the Republican poster child/talking point for saying the Government can't do anything right.

Bravo.

1. I guess it's done now, and it really doesn't matter to me one way
or the other, but I have to believe anyone who really cared would have already gotten what they needed to get tv reception. This has been going on for years! IMO anyone who hasn't gotten their converter by now either doesn't care, or won't care by June either!

2. They ran out of coupons
And some rural areas didn't have the converter boxes at stores. When some of those stores did get them the coupons expired. Some stores weren't offering the cheaper converter boxes so people had to pay a higher price(even with the coupons). Also, many people are finding that they also have to replace their antennas. That wasn't mentioned until recently.

8. Very true
On the news they had an elderly lady who was poor and had a lot of medical issues. She had an old tv without cable. She said she couldn't afford the converter box even with the coupon. A local charitable group donated a converter box. People donate converter boxes to this group and they donate them to people who can't afford to buy one.
