Are they REALLY that CLUELESS???... |
|
Someone please help me understand how the Republicans (with straight faces)can stand up on the floor of the House chamber and/or Senate chamber and pompously proclaim that this stimulus package is the worst piece of economic legislation in the last hundred years???????? Seriously, how can a party that drove our economy in the ground over the course of the last eight years think that they have any credibility and can rant and rave on behalf of the American taxpayer they care so much about all of a sudden? Is ANYONE taking them seriously? I DON'T GET IT !!!!

1. What frightens them is the FACT that actual real live economists (ie experts) APPROVE |
|
of Obama's stimulus plan.
Overwhelmingly approve.
Can't let experts have any say; the Republic Party has been avoiding experts for the past 8 years.

2. They only have a few, very limited, scripts. They'll continue to bray those scripts |
|
even if the scripts don't have any relevance to the question at hand.

if this wasn't so fucking serious.
I see businesses closing everywhere, my mother's modest retirement egg has evaporated, everyone is worried sick.
These a-holes have screwed up ever thing, have been wrong on everything and the media gives them lots of air-time and treat our situation as though it were a sporting event.
If the cardinals had beat the steelers, not much would be different, but the little game the repug's and media are playing could destroy our future!

5. They have no choice they're in the fight of their lives politically. |
|
If this bill passes, they will have proven how impotent they are. If this bill fails to pass they prove they still have power. In 2010 they will blame everything on Obama and Dems. If sucessful Dems will gain in the midterm and render Republics irrelevant. This is the "Showdown at the OK CORRAL" for Republics.

6. I've concluded that Republicans can only win through deception |
|
since they represent the interests of only a small, wealthy minority. They are so used to reframing issues in way intended to deceive rather than explain that they don't even think about it any more.

7. They have no interest in helping President Obama, |
|
and the Democratic members of Congress. They're running for leadership with their base. We've gotten their numbers down to the point where they're pretty much only coming from the hard-core right wing areas, the reddest of the red states.
That's who they're playing to.

9. it really does get to the point of parody, doesn't it. |
|
Just like how McCain said that ACORN was "perpetrating one of the greatest frauds in voter history", and Obama couldn't help but laugh. They have no shame.
