Anyone watching this Nelson and Collins News Conference on CNN?
Collins said she was looking at 650 Billion dollar package. But she said the President convinced her it should be bigger in the 800 Billion dollar range.

What is curious is that after Obama met with them yesterday he felt it would pass by the weekend? I think he may have secured their votes yesterday and probably told them what was ok to take out.

1. Yeah, I just posted this. Sounds like he is getting the moderate Repubs on board.
Snowe and Collins are very important to us in that we might be able to get them to vote with Dems more often then vote with Repubs.

2. Yes, I read somewhere there is the expectation it will be voted on on Friday...
I hope that is right. I think he DOES have the votes to get it passed.

3. Limbaugh has not issued his order to the republican senators yet. When he does,
we may see 41 "No's".

4. Limbaugh is an idiot
The New England Repubs are more like conservative/moderate Dems at times.

5. The rumor is Nebraska does have one dem in the Senate. I have
yet to see evidence in support of that fact.
