I think Obama just sent a message to the Senate Repub's
The message is "Don't you dare think about stopping this stimulus bill with a filibuster." He has been laying the ground work with the appearance yesterday and the unusual step of a personally written editorial in the Washington Post. If the Repub's try to block this he is going to kill them with the bully pulpit. There will be blood.

1. And may the blood spill where it will.

In fact, it can get splattered all over the Senate chambers for all I care. The GOP needs a good, long, hard spanking. And Barack Obama is just the guy to do it! He does after all, have the vast majority of the American people supporting him.

2. Unfortunately, the latest polls indicate support for the stimulus plan has dramatically dropped.
And that is a rreal concern. One expected the GOP to oppose it but the fact that, I suppose because of the "compromises" , many libertals and moderated no longer support it, is troubling.

3. I do not believe these polls.
Remember who controls the media.

7. The polls are troubling, but most Americans know that SOMETHING MUST BE DONE.
And it needs to be done quickly. I find it hard to believe that people don't support the Stimulus Bill when they are losing their jobs, getting foreclosed on, and are struggling to make ends meet. Surely even the most hard core freeper can see that there's no time to waste.

I think the media is largely responsible for the polling results, as they are allowing the Republicans to control the message. When you have 2 Dem guests for every 10 Repugs, it's hard for anyone watching to get a balanced message.

6. Ooh, a good old fashioned blood bath.
I hope he gets their asses in line. They desperately need an MAJOR attitude adjustment. They are not in charge any more and they need to be reminded of that.
