Is anyone watching Tweety? He just prefaced a clip of Obama speaking and cut to the bit.

About ten seconds in, Tweety's mic was still on and he said "...chump, christ..." and then cut away from Obama and right back to Tweety.

WTF was that? Perhaps something off camera, but it seemd like he was speaking about the clip of Obama he was showing and had no clue he was still mic'd up.

I watched it a couple times to see if I heard right, and I think I did. Did anyone else catch that?

4. The clip went as follows:
Edited on Thu Feb-05-09 05:12 PM by Parker CA
Tweety: Here's President Obama taking a hard shot at the policies he inherited.

Cut to Obama speaking this morning -

Obama: So, let me be clear. Those ideas have been tested...

Tweety on mic: Chump.

Obama: and they have failed.

Tweety on mic, slightly muffled: Christ.

Camera cuts from Obama speaking and goes back to Tweety who continues to introduce his next segment he will discuss later on during the show.

5. Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I've listened to it about six times and it seems quite clear to me.
Just odd.

6. Since he has already seen the clip himself,
Tweety was probably responding to his producer on his earpiece saying somebody-or-other wouldn't come on his show.

In Tweety's world that would get more of a reaction than anything the President would say.
