Its The Weekend! Time For The News To Push RW Talking Points! Which Is Most Popular?
Edited on Fri Feb-06-09 08:27 PM by Median Democrat
Which right wing talking points attack the stimulus deal will the Sunday news shows be pushing most heavily?

A. That Congress should just junk the entire stimulus plan, and cut corporate taxes like Ireland.
B. That the stimulus plan is the start of socialism.
C. That Herbert Hoover had it right, and that FDR prolonged the Great Depression.
D. That the election did not give Obama a mandate.
E. That too much government regulation caused the current recession?
F. That the provision for program X, which is 0.0001 % of the stimulus bill, is a waste, thus we should junk the entire bill, and start from scratch.

1. "Obama is using the "Politics of Fear"
to ram the stimulus bill through Congress".

I shit you not, it was said by whomever subbed for Lou "the country's going to hell in a handbasket" Dobbs last night.

I am glad that Obama is starting to hammer this point. Maybe with tax cuts, people might build a bridge, levy, or energy grid, because those tax cuts to the oil companies certainly cured our dependdence on foreign oil.

6. I'm sure among many others, someone will mention that on such a weekend, Obama is at Camp David.
I've also heard the meme that they pukes have not lost anything because they have a virtual 50-50 split between taxes and spending. Ass-Hat Gregory should have some classic douche-bag comments on Sunday.
