HA! Now What Are They Gonna Do? Hurts To Be A Republican Tonight.

LOL Checkmate. Cornered like rats. If they had any sense, they would help vote something in, pretend to be bi-partisan, try and take some credit for bailing us out, and run hard on that in 2010. But no, no. I think they will dash themselves against the rocks. Vote against the stimulus package knowing it's going to pass, and let the democrats excoriate them for the next 2 years for the things they wanted to take out of the stimulus plan, like money for education and infrastructure. Having voted against it, they will do all in their power to try and make it fail. The people will see that.

I'm telling you, cutting through all the propaganda over the past several days, Obama really hurt them with that CEO cap. It resonates too much with the common man. Nobody in their right mind should be complaining about that. Yet there they are, weeping and wailing that collosal failures won't be allowed to siphon off billions.

I think the republican party is going to ride this one down in flames. They really are out of touch. Sucks to be a republican tonight.

2. When I was getting a cup of coffee the other day, a couple of guys were complaining
about the big spending from Congress... but ALSO about people getting millions of dollars in bonuses to run a company into the ground.

People are worried about the spending because the government for the last 8 years
has been a big screw up with Bush AND congress. Hopefully trust in Obama will lead to trust in the govt. again. He is much more competent then Georgie ever was.

3. After the recovery are they gonna say the economy is better despite the stimulus?
What utter fools they are. See ya Rethugs, welcome to the permanent minority of the next few years.

23. Yep, that is exactly what the Jackals of Journalism will start peddling,
if any of them survive. That was quite a hit News Corp took. And they just signed 8 & 10 million dollar contracts with Hannity and O'Reilly. Wonder what Ailes costs?

10. Okay. We'll let Obama excoriate them, which as you know, he can
Edited on Fri Feb-06-09 10:44 PM by Solomon
and will do. And I think he is a democrat, so if you want to say let the democrat excoriate them instead of democrats, I'll go with that.

:hi:

9. Obama fired the shot across the bow last night
and followed it up with a speaking schedule that begins on Monday.

Oh look, will ya? Suddenly we have a bill today. Even the repugs wanted this to be a done deal before Obama has to start calling them out by name on Monday.

Filbuster! Filibuster! We Want Filibuster!

I'm just itching for them to filibuster. Get some good beer, some popcorn. Man, what a show!

21. The problem for Republicans and fillibustering is that
you have to know how to read, or have really long memories. I'm not sure either of those applies to Republicans.

I suppose they should just prop McCain up and we could watch him drool. Not sure if that counts as fillibustering though.

to make a strong nasty run against him.

13. I don't feel sorry for that bastard at all.
I ask only one thing of Arlen Specter, that he reveals everything he really knows about the JFK assassination and coverup before he passes from this mortal coil. And preferably in time to prosecute anyone who was involved who is still alive. There's at least one filthy old bastard in Kennebunkport.

But since Arlen doesn't seem to care about redeeming himself from the "Magic Bullet" lie, he can die and burn in Hell.

14. Smarmy ass Spector has got away with this kind of stuff before.
Pennsylvania has gone blue so he's hedging his bets like he always does. He'll do something assholely to get back in their graces.

16. Spector has always been one of the very few republicans who
seem redeemable at times, but he always fucking disappoints. He's an asshole who plays both sides of a situation. Makes you think he's a reasonable republican one day, and then becomes a commplete asshole the next.

17. At least Specter had the decency to listen and try to work something out
with Obama. The Rethug leadership instructed the Rethugs to vote against it without even hearing Obama out. Yeah, he's an idiot but at least he did the right thing here.

time. He was giving a show to get some capital to spend the other way if he needed to. He's smarmy like that.
