1. Too soon to tell.
So far, he's done pretty well with the cards that he has been dealt.

2. Bad: double standards on lobbying reform, weak cabinet picks, backing away from 16mo Iraq withdrawl
Good: changes to labor regulations via executive order, plus public commitment to the central place of labor; reversal of global gag rule, order to close gitmo

Pending: Obama stimulus plan, which as passed by the house was radical and progressive. Now amended by the Senate to take a lot of that progressive "bite" right back out of it...

All in all I'm cautiously happy with the job Obama has done to date.

Petraeus and Gates tried to get him to, but he stood his ground.

you will see that the "Administration" said no such thing. Not that it matters.
It is possible that Obama will ask for similar assessments of other withdrawal timetables before deciding on a way ahead.

A senior administration official said Friday, without commenting on the timetables under consideration, that the White House and senior military commanders "are coming to a meeting of the minds" on troop withdrawals and on the need for a diplomatic and political strategy to end U.S. involvement in the war and to ease the strain on troops and their families.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly, said it likely would be a matter of "weeks, not months" before Obama is ready to announce his decisions on an Iraq strategy.

McClatchy Newspapers was first to report Friday that the White House had received risk assessments associated with 16-, 19- and 23-month drawdown options

other options, which I think is bad.

Remember, I listed good things too. :)

assessments are a really bad thing. And it's always good to assume.

12. Chillout. I listed a bunch of things I like from the administration so far, and some things I don't
There is no "assessment" that would deter me from desiring an immediate withdraw from an illegal occupation implemented by war criminals.

That's just my opinion.

You can give me a bunch of shit about that when I start being a one sided bad mouther of the president. But I'm not. He's kicked ass on a good number of things since taking office, and there are a few things I'm not so happy about. Pretty reasonable point of view if you ask me. So get off my back.

6. Agreed.
He's confused "bipartisanship" with "groveling at the feet of the party that got us in this effin' mess in the first place".

7. He started working before he was actually President. He has done many
positive things for the country i the first 2 weeks, and he is getting things done while allowing the Publicans to make themselves look as bad as they really are.

Good work!
