A Message from Peanut Corporation of America's President |
|
January 2006 - Stewart Parnell
"Safety and Quality do make a difference..."
BLAKELY, GEORGIA PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
Our Blakely, GA plant regularly processes over 2.5 million pounds of peanuts each month, but we never forget that we thrive because of customers of all sizes. Whether your food business is small or large, we would be delighted to become the peanut processor you rely on.
ALL products are produced under carefully maintained food safety controls and inspections and are protected by Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP (where appropriate), and strict compliance with AIB and applicable industry safety and sanitation standards.
We work constantly to maintain a clean environment so we can provide a clean, safe product. To make sure we are always in compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations and guidelines, we have competent people assigned to accomplish these prescribed tasks and keep abreast of any new issues that could affect our ability to provide the best product.
The inspector presented us with our second rating of “Superior,” a remarkable achievement for our third A.I.B. inspection following our renovations in 2003. We are proud to attribute this accomplishment to our capable Operations Manager, our Quality Control Manager, and our whole staff of dedicated employees at Tidewater Blanching, who take Food Safety so seriously. To see the inspection results, click "AIB Results" on the bottom of our Tidewater Blanching information page.

Found a peanut, found a peanut, Found a peanut just now, Just now I found a peanut, Found a peanut just now.
It was rotten, it was rotten, It was rotten just now, Just now it was rotten, It was rotten just now.
Sold it anyway, Sold it anyway, Sold it anyway just now, Just now I sold it anyway, Sold it anyway just now.

I always need a link before running with something like this. So here it is: http://www.zibb.com/hospitality/theme/p/Peanut+Butter/Blakely,+Georgia Here's the specific article: http://www.extension.iastate.edu/foodsafety/news/fsnews.cfm?newsid=31053I recall reading a short while back, that that plant hadn't had a proper FDA inspection for the last eight years! What a surprise! I'll try to Google that for confirmation, and would appreciate any leads. pnorman

9. If he was in China he would already be hanging from a noose. |
|
But in dear old America where corporations hold the true power he will get a few million in compensation and a few nasty words from the public.
Lady justice has removed her blindfold.
