Edited on Mon Feb-09-09 02:10 PM by Beetwasher
Game over. They will be crushed like gnats once Obama's done. He's just warming up and already they are in serious friggin' trouble. What a bunch of dumbasses.

Hey Repubs! Do you like apples?? How about THESE apples!:

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/2/9/132742/2732/370/695252

"The survey indicates, however, that Obama and the Democrats in Congress do have some advantages in this political battle over the stimulus. Three out of four poll respondents said that Obama is doing enough to cooperate with Republicans in Congress, but only 39 percent feel that congressional Republicans are cooperating enough with the president.

Six out of 10 approved of the way Democratic leaders in Congress are handling their jobs. But only 44 percent of those questioned approved of the way Republican leaders in Congress are performing. Overall, only 29 percent said they like the way Congress is handling its job, with 71 percent disapproving."

5. And He Keeps Bringing Up The Election And Rejection Of The FAILED POLICIES!!
That's what's most effective I think, reminding people that it's the Repubs failed policies that got us here and that's what they want to continue with.

7. And every other Dem in Congress needs to get Obama's back by repeating the same thing.
"The last eight years have brought us unprecedented job loss..."

"The last eight years have seen the largest growth in deficit spending in our history..."

"The last eight years of tax cuts failed to produce new jobs and insulate the economy from the current recession..."

The point is easy to make, they just need to make it. And they need to support our new President. (That's President with a CAPITAL P!)

18. boy, these guys have very short memories don't they?
remember when they put Conyers committee in a basement to conduct hearings, I know this example is House of Reps situation.

For 8 long years, the Congress was kissing up and rubber stamping Bush policies, what total hypocrites!!!!

6. I hope so . . . because all I'm hearing on the MSM is:
"The bill is loaded with PORK!"

Over and over again. No examples; no proof; just the statement.

14. Unbelievable --
This man has SO much power.

I think he knows how much power he has - he is so restrained. He could do some really scary things with it - think French revolution and guillotines! (And remember how Palin whipped up crowd frenzy.)

Yet he uses his power for good.

I worry only because I think he is too good for us. Like Lincoln, he is of another plane.

I hope - this time - he is protected, savored, and can live far into the future to see the fruits of his amazing good works, and continue to advise and consult for the next 50+ years!
