2. They voted to tell the filibustering bastards to sit the fuck down so we can vote on the bill.
That's a good thing...believe it or not.

9. Yes. They did the right thing.
Snowe and Collins are probably more moderate then Nelson and are pro-choice. Maybe they need to switch parties.

3. Specter has always deserved the "Maverick" title more than anyone as far as Republicans go.

Do you suppose he'll live long enough to get to 1990?

17. I think Snowe deserves it more than Specter
Because she has held her ground even when her party really needed her vote. Specter often votes with the Democrats when his vote doesn't matter but then votes with his party when his vote will be the decider.

6. I thank them. There's no point in biting off your nose to spite your face.
I think Obama understands as well that in the real world you can't always get everything you want.

15. I have to thank them. It takes some guts to stand up to those fuckers...
guts that Reid himself lacks. Not saying Collins and Specter are magically not jerks, but they did the right thing in this situation.

16. Come over to the Force, you lost souls!
Resist the dark side. Make the transition complete (-- and tell the NeoCons to shove it, of course --) by becoming Dems!
