Yup.. he's a DINO.. but in Nebraska, that is sort of amazing. This is the reddest state in the land by some standards, and we have a DEMOCRAT for one of our Senators - that's sort of shocking.
Is he the most conservative democrat out there? Close... but if he was even an inch farther to the left, he'd never get elected.
And, at the end of the day - be happy he's voting for this thing... he's getting tons of pressure not to from this state.
Is he my ideal candidate? No.. but guys like congressman Lee Terry are the alternative. I'll take Nelson over that any day.
