Oh Gawd no. Morning Joe looking at Florida Senate race.

From <ichael Calderone at Politico

Wasn't one MSNBC host flirting with a 2010 Senate campaign enough? Apparently not, according to the Herald Tribune.

Television host Joe Scarborough has a new radio show and is feeling good about the influence he's having on politics.

But the former congressman from Pensacola said he may run for office again, maybe even the U.S. Senate in 2010.

"I haven't closed it off," said Scarborough, a Republican who is scheduled to address the Manatee County Republican Party at its annual Lincoln Day Dinner on Feb. 20. "I've been getting some calls from some fundraisers in Florida."

Scarborough said he is also hearing from other U.S. senators who want him to run for the seat that Sen. Mel Martinez announced he is leaving next year.

He just needs to decide whether he could have as much influence on public policy as one of 100 senators as he does now on his MSNBC program "Morning Joe," he said.

While Chris Matthews considered running for Arlen Specter's seat, he told friends, colleagues and political operatives, but didn't talk speak publicly about it. Last month, Matthews told his "Hardball" staff that he wasn't running.

In December, a Time reader asked Scarborough if he'd "run for office again."

Not right now. I think I'll leave it to Chris Matthews to figure out whether or not he wants to jump in the Senate race. Right now I'm having a lot more influence on the national debate than I did as a member of Congress. But you never know what's going to happen down the road.

UPDATE: "There's nothing to it," an MSNBC spokesperson told Politico. "It's not something Joe is considering."

11. The last time Joe thought about running for the Rep. seat the dead intern was brought up
And he dropped out within a week of announcing his run.

4. I think the "other senators" that want him to run are Democrats
He'd be a great opponent for any capable Dem to beat up on.

and he would insure a pickup of a Democratic seat.

12. The sad thing is, there's no credible Democrat to run.
Alex Sink declined, and she probably had the best shot.

And one Dem who is considering running, Blue Dog Dickhead, Alan Boyd :puke: , is enough to make you want to vote for Scarborough.

Yeah, he's really that bad.

15. I thought Kendrick Meek was running,
With Jeb not tunning and Crist likely to stay in Talahassee. Joe might pull down the GOP nod

5. as a recemt ex-resident of Manatee County, Florida...
i can say that joe would at least be addressing a bastion of his beliefs...

what an asshat...yeah, run joe, run...be encouraged by the yahoos in manatee county...you might as well start off where you have 100% approval (give or take a few liberals who moved in from up north) and see if you can hold on for 50+%...

in the words of James Brown, the Godfather of Soul: "Please, please, please...."
