Then they poured a hot liquid into his penis wounds
You must have read a very popular thread on LBN about defense documents alleging that a torture victim had his penis sliced in the presence of UK and US officials.

Well, today the New York Times reveals one extra detail:

"A hot stinging liquid was then poured into open wounds on his penis where he had been cut. He was frequently threatened with rape, electrocution and death."

1. Read it on LBN, disgusting.
Twisted, bizarre and horrifying. I hope Obama allows the AG to go after this. I do get that Obama has to be careful, this is unprecedented-a new prez going after an old one and his administration. I would not put it past any of the Bushies to threaten Obama.

6. "...Obama has to be careful..."? Jeebus!!...
Not against you, Jenni. I understand, on one level, what you're saying, but for God's Sake!!! People need to wake up. This namby-pamby "gotta move forward" has got to stop. Prosecute! Now!

The monsters Cheney/Bush and their underlings are, in my view, seriously mentally ill.

I wonder if there is a book -- something on the order of "Methods of Torture in Wars: Past and Present". I bet one wouldn't find the obsession with body orifices and genitalia that's been typical under Bush. Other needs were being met. Yes, twisted. And they're still running around loose.

I shudder to think of what we DON'T know!

7. Not careful about doing it for political reasons but for his own welfare
Edited on Tue Feb-10-09 11:07 AM by Jennicut
I don't think people get that the Bushes are a crime family and would go after anyone that is against them. I know people don't want to believe that but its happened in the past to Americans who stood up against things. Not that fear should stop people, I hate that. But yeah, he needs to be careful. We only know the tip of the iceberg about 9/11, torture, spying on us, etc. They are pure evil.

9. Exactly. Reagan was shot, after all (with Poppy as V-P and friendly with the Hinckleys).
Assassinations, failed or successful, are not exactly unknown to modern America.

10. That is what scares me. Obama has shown not to have any fear so far.
But I worry about our Prez and VP anyways.

16. But you could say that about ANY issue Obama takes a stand on.
Abortion rights, especially.

Using "but he might get rubbed out if he takes a stand against torture" is about the lamest argument for Obama not doing the right thing I've ever heard.

21. Nah! Anyone who wanted to take him out over the abortion issue
would be some religious whackjob. Someone from the "outside" so-to-speak. I doubt they could get to him.

And the Crime Family have no interest in this issue. They don't care about abortion, one way or the other. That goes for religion, also. Neither issue threatens the PTB. They're just wedge issues used to keep the Fundies stirred up.

19. Oh. I thought you meant politically. But in terms of his welfare,
that is even more the case.

I think the following pretty much sums up how the crime family operates: (this isn't original with me. I read it somewhere, but I think it's spot-on). Presidents are taken into a room where they are shown a clip of the Zapruder film, after which they are asked, "Any questions?" As a metaphor this is a powerful comment on how things operate.

I am sick of the pap we're fed about loser, malcontent, blank-slates who turn out to be expert snipers (MLK) or who against all probability, in a jostling crowd, manage to inflict a mortal head-wound to a would be candidate for president (RFK). Pffft!

I voted for Obama. I like him as a person and I think he has a lovely family. But, if he were really going to make substantive changes he wouldn't have been offered as a choice. IMHO.

2. Hey Obama, still want to focus on moving forward, and not looking back?
Come on, man. Someone HAS to answer for the crimes committed the last 8 years.

11. He can't show them if he's not given a chance to
The lawsuit cannot begin unless this state secrets thing is dealt with. Until then, flashing the penis to the judge would be inconsequential.

The full truth couldn't come out during the Dictator's administration. But it's coming out now.

Torture is torture is torture, whether by Nazi or Bush.

17. Obama is obligated to prosecute the war crimes of the past administration.
He is bound by four treaties to do so, and somebody else in the global community will if he does not.

Many of them still draw a paycheck, or receive a fat pension--with our tax dollars!!! I am horrified that my taxes payed for this, I am sick.
