The GOP Has Declared War On Obama
The GOP Has Declared War On Obama

This much is now clear. Their clear and open intent is to do all they can, however they can, to sabotage the new administration (and the economy to boot). They want failure. Even now. Even after the last eight years. Even in a recession as steeply dangerous as this one. There are legitimate debates to be had; and then there is the cynicism and surrealism of total political war. We now should have even less doubt about what kind of people they are. And the mountain of partisan vitriol Obama will have to climb every day of the next four or eight years.

Obama is to smart to get wrapped up in a scandal, no "-gates".

They're not even in the denial stage yet. They're in some weird stage that happens before denial. They lost. They need to get the fuck over it. :nopity:

18. Oh they get it all right, it's been hammered home to them all their lives.
What they don't get is when cheating fails to give them their illusion of winning. That particular mirror is toxic to them. And they will never get over that, that would require personal growth (evolution) which they don't believe in.

They are stuck in their self-imposed hell. Our mission is to not join them in their reality.

27. Add John Cole and David Brock of Media Matters
Seems like its a "reformed prostitute" issue. All four of them hate the GOP more than we could dream of. Maybe its because they feel betrayed.

Here's my favorite John Cole post of all time:

Long story short, I got up there to register as an independent, said “Fuck it,” and now I am a Democrat. I certainly don’t agree with all their positions, but they are not bat-shit crazy like the GOP. That has to count for something. Additionally, I no longer have to read posts by the 24% crowd calling me a “true conservative” with quotes o’sarcasm (you know who they are). Not any more, bitches. I repudiate you, your party, and whatever the fuck it is you are currently pretending is “conservatism.” It isn’t.

Now send me my check from Soros and the 40 virgins.

http://www.balloon-juice.com/?p=8971

Cole also has the best comments section on the web. Very smart ppl post there and VERY funny. Cole went round the bend on Terry Schiavo. For Sullivan it was torture. Not sure what pushed Huffington or Brock over the edge. Anyone know?

21. Their intentions have been totally obvious for weeks now.
And what's funnier is that even after all the negativity they threw at him during the campaign, they still don't get that america doesn't like that shit, especially when you're going after a president who is widely adored. It just makes them look pathetic and desperate.

25. The better Obama looks, the worse they look for propping up the chimp.
After just a couple weeks, it's already difficult to believe we had such a childish cowboy as a president.

Obama was quite impressive this week, and inspired alot of trust. The man is wonderful on his feet. We're finding out what he's like on the job, handling things in real time.

He's good. He's very very good.

And it puts the GOP deeper in the shadows. They're humiliated, and they should be.

28. It's beginning to smell like the budget fight between Clinton and Newt
Newt lost big. It's like the treat this like a high school rivarly "gotta beat the blue team".

Or maybe they realize if Obama fixes this, we'll be repealing the Amendment that limits presidents to 2 terms. I know lots of "moderates" or "swing voters" who said they would have voted for Clinton again in 2000.

at the animosity in DC. The GOPers are just plain mean and ignorant. THEY HAVE NO CONCERN FOR AMERICA. The dems have given the American people two brilliant and caring individuals (Obama and Clinton). The GOPers gave us a person who could not speak proper English despite one of the world's most expensive educations and a person who farted at will.

Obviously we need to make them lose a lot more than they've lost so far since they haven't gotten the message yet.

38. Do they really think this will win them votes in 2012?
If anything, they may win a few more hard core right winguts - but they will further isolate themselves from the rest of the world.

Fine --- they will be so marginalized they will lose even more geography. And will eventually shrivel up to a few counties in OK or MISS.
