Snowe on MSNBC, defending the stimulus.
That's good news.

This Gregg/GOP move was clearly motivated at influencing moderate Republicans considering voting for the stimulus.

So far, Snowe ain't buying it.

4. Shuster's much better in that slot than Gregory was
I hope he can hang on to it, that slot seems to get low ratings. And Shuster has said in his briefing email that he thinks that stimulus should be bigger with more spending.

3. Not sure it really matters
Gregg is not a moderate and never has been.

6. The ploy was designed to convince moderate Republicans to vote against the stimulus.
And if we don't get a few of them in the Senate, it will not pass.

7. No I agree that is the strategy
I'm just saying (judging by Snowe) it didn't work. :)

She's one of the few Republicans I would ever consider voting for.

14. What I really liked was no matter which one chaired Small Business,
they were each very respectful to the other and in fact agreed on many issues. (Outside Small Business, she and Kerry negotiated the deal that raised CAFE standards for the first time in 2 decades.)
