13. He was describing what it must have been like for Lincoln to be sitting in his office |
|
with his legs up on the desk doing work and waiting for someone to call him and offer their services as Commerce Sec. The way he lead up to it and then delivered the comment was great. And then he started laughing at his own comment and the crowd laughed harder. It was good.

that this occurs pretty much every time he speaks. I've given up trying to compare the quality of his speeches because he knocks it out of the park 99% of the time.

"God, I love this man!" This was a brilliant speech. Every time I think 'that was the best speech so far' he manages to one-up himself next time.

35. He spanked Senate Republicans in such a subtle way. This guy is so good. |
|
When he mentioned how an unregulated welfare system could curb individual urges work, it was a multifaceted sneak attack to undermine conservative talking points, and to reinforce the need for government regulation.
Man. Just incredible.

41. A friend of mine said today she fell asleep during the briefing on Monday..... |
|
..... she said, "I missed the last half because he put me to sleep."
"Watch it!" I said thinking she was bashing him.
"No, he has such a calm, reassuing voice that he makes you feel good and I got sleepy."
She LOVES to sleep ..... so from her, it was a compliment. lol
