'Limbaugh's Legions' in the House voted NO on H.R. 1. Now they and he 'hope it fails.' |

Not one Republican voted for the bill. The final vote on H. R. 1 was 246 Democrats voted YES; 183 Republicans voted NO. One Democrat voted 'present.'

1. GOP Leader Boehner says.... |
|
"This legislation falls woefully short," said House GOP Leader John Boehner of Ohio. "With a price tag of more than $1 trillion when you factor in interest, it costs every family almost $10,000 in added debt. "This is an act of generational theft that our children and grandchildren will be paying for far into the future."
And the GOP is not party to any added cost to the deficit since it's inception. Right BONER, your party's whole regime of deregulation of the free market and lowering taxes, starting two wars and voting against the masses to help your rich conservative friends, excuses you from being complicit in anything to do with the current deficit and economic crisis our nation faces now.
When will be free from the tyranny of the rich and corrupt? Gawd, I am so ready to fight!!

2. Hello GMF and welcome to DU |
|
There has been an incredible case of selective amnesia amongst those with the conservative value gene. george bush never existed and nothing happened the last eight years.
BUT, its just the way the gop operates, never, ever take responsibility for anything.

Boner takes the small silvery cylindrical device from inside his left coat pocket and holds it up, pointed at the masses....
Thanks for the welcome BOSSHOG, it is a relief to be able to express and share my concerns with the DU community. Feels like home.

|
They can keep the record for that self-indulgence and rich-indulgence!
So far, they do ...

http://clerk.house.gov/cgi-bin/vote.asp?year=2009&rollnumber=70DeFazio was very pissed speaking on the floor about the money taken out for education; perhaps why he voted No. The other Dems come from very conservative districts and states---Shuler, Griffith, Taylor, Peterson, Bright, Minnich.

14. Hey, this is Obstructionism Redux. |
|
Not a single Republican voted for Clinton's budget in 1993 and they have merely recycled their dire warnings of impending disaster. The only problem with this repeat performance is this time the disaster isn't pending, we are soaking in it thanks to Junior's reign of greed and incompetence.
