Edited on Fri Feb-13-09 04:09 PM by flpoljunkie
not a real tax! Your payroll taxes get put in the same pot and spent by Congress.

Republicans are true 'economic elites' and colossal hypocrites. They have presided over the biggest 'wealth transfer' in history with Bush's tax cuts.

Bernie Sanders just reminded Chuck Schumer on the Senate floor that the estate tax the Republicans want eliminated would cost $1 trillion dollars and help only the top three-tenths of 1% of this country! Talk about 'wealth transfer!'

Cornyn was being interviewed by MSNBC's Samantha Guthrie.

1. Remind Cornyn of the huge amounts of working people's tax monies
that he and his cronies hand BUSINESS in the form of tax breaks,
loans, --you name it. Reverse Robinhood goes on almost daily.

They will GE 8 Billion in one fell swoop and go into spastic fits
if we wish to give some working stiff a few pennies in comparison.

2. Still whining about corporate income taxes. McCain wanted to reduce from 35% to 25%--yet effective
corporate tax rate in this country is already 25% because of all the tax loopholes, and this effective rate is near the bottom for industrialized countries.

Yet they want more for their corporate cronies.
