It you stroke it, it tries to bite
If you step on it's tail, it ties to bite
If yoi kick it away, it tries to bite
If you crush it's head, it tries to bite.

This is one snake that does not want to be left alone. Whatever you do expect venom, poison, loops, twists, lunge after lunge and the endless rattle of it's fellow reptiles, seeking the lowest ground.

If you are going to be bitten, crushing heads while not signaling your steps is the way to go, IMO.
