The CIA are the worldwide "hand" of the Bush family. What has Obama said/done to eliminate them? |
|
I know Obama is on the ball and getting real things done, but my comfort level increases only with the elimination of existing disease. Inoculation against future sickness, in other words.
Has Obama said or done anything to eliminate this international threat?

Edited on Sat Feb-14-09 01:34 PM by Fire Walk With Me
How did Bush arrange the Reagan/Iran hostage exchange? Who installed the Shah of Iran? Who later gave weapons to both Iran and Iraq to weaken the region for the invasion we saw in 2003?
Come on.
Edit: Did gas prices go down in your area before the 2006 election? The 2008? Did they rise again afterward?

The CIA. Iran/Contra, Skull and Bones, the MIL/Indus Complex...It reaches out from there.

Do you know why Bush was selected? Do you know how it contributed to our going to war in Iraq?
When Cheney and Rumsfield were in the Ford cabinet Rumsfield had a strong ambition to become President and was worried that Bush would be his strongest primary opponent. He convinced Ford with Cheney's help to make Bush head of the CIA thereby creating an instant smear that would always be held against him (as your post reflects).
All reports of his role at the CIA show him to be a lazy and inefficient Director who had little interest in the workings of the agency and wasn't involved in its working. The reason that the CIA loved him was because he was so out to touch the career guys could get anything they wanted approved by him.
Bush deeply resented Rumsfield for it and a lifelong enmity lasted between the two of them.
Cheney was happy to get Rumsfield in knowing that it would drive a wedge between Bush Sr and his advisers and Bush Jr, thereby keeping all the pesky Bush Sr. advisers away and giving him a defense secretary that he could control.
The strange issue that remains is what kind of fucked up person is Bush Jr that he would go out of the way to appoint the guy his father hated most. It really shows that Bush was trying to outdo and show up his father, again his main motive in going to Iraq.
Since Bush was also Vice President and President your logic would mean that we should abolish those posts as well.
BTW now that the Intelligence community has been restructured the Director of the CIA is only the 3rd or possibly the 4th most influential intelligence official in the government.

12. From Wiki: "Reza Pahlavi replaced his father on the throne on September 16, 1941" |
|
Good question. Who DID install him? GHWB hadn't even begun flying planes in WWII yet. Pearl Harbor was still three months away.
Your turn. Who installed the Shah of Iran?

18. I'd read somewhere (reliable) that he was a CIA puppet front |
|
Did Prescott have anything to do with it? Those folks divided up the world at the end of WW2 and have been after the Middle East oil ever since.
If I'm wrong, I'll accept it and research it.
The CIA/Bush however, did have everything to do with Iran/Contra and the hostage release, and the actions against Carter which made him appear too weak to be a President. Weapons were given to both sides, in order to weaken both sides (two of the largest oil reserves in the world).
Not that Enron, huge Bush supporters, did the same thing in California to create a "recall" election.

20. The Brits and Russians did. |
|
For decades prior, the old Russian Empire and later, the Soviet Union along with the British Empire had meddled in Iran. After Germany attacked the Soviet Union, the reigning Shah was thought to be too sympathetic to Germany and he was deposed in favor of his son after Great Britain and the Soviet Union invaded the nation.

Putting someone like Leon Panetta in charge is a good start, but it will take quite some time to drain that swamp, and as people in this thread are implying, Obama's gonna have to watch his back and tread carefully - I'm sure the Bushies have laid some land mines...

5. The CIA has always been an extension of the Bush Crime Family |
|
Allen Dulles, first director of the CIA, was the attorney for Union Bank that managed to keep Prescott Bush out of prison when he was rightfully charged under the Trading with the Enemy Act in 1942 for his financial support of Hitler. Not only did Grandpa Bush not go to jail, he continued to profit from his Nazi investments until about 1951. And by then he and his buddies had already converted their treasonous fascism into convincing America that we "needed" a permanent "defense" industry and "intelligence" machine - which he and his partners put in the hands of the Dulles brothers.

10. Oh, so THAT's why CIA told GWB NOT to invade Iraq and Cheney had to go there to put the squeeze ... |

on them.
No, it's NOT a tool for the Bush family. CIA is known in DC as "the biggest liberal thinktank in town," THAT's why Bush blamed all the "bad intel" on them, even though he went around them to his own "Office of Special Plans" he set up in the Pentagon.

11. But remember Poppy himself was opposed to invading and occupying Iraq. |
|
“Trying to eliminate Saddam… would have incurred incalculable human and political costs… We would have been forced to occupy Baghdad and, in effect, rule Iraq… Going in and occupying Iraq, thus unilaterally exceeding the U.N.'s mandate, would have destroyed the precedent of international response to aggression we hoped to establish. Had we gone the invasion route, the U.S. could conceivably still be an occupying power in a bitterly hostile land.” - George HW Bush, March 1998
Thus the CIA would seem to have taken the same position as Poppy, and not the PNAC bullshit that Cheney was pushing on them at the time. Which is why Darth Cheney allowed Wolfoshithead to set up the "Office of Special BullshitPlans"

14. Conspiracy theory arguments = Infinity |
|
I've learned never to argue with a conspiracy buff since it's impossible to ever prove the non-existence of a conspiracy to anyone who believes one exists.
By their very nature, conspiracy theories are impossible to disprove : 1. They need not be supported by logic;
2. They require no actual evidence to perpetuate; any fact, supposition or rumor, regardless how remote or untenable, can be tossed into the conspiracy side of the equation and be used as "proof" of the existence of the conspiracy. (See #1);
3. The absence of evidence is just further proof of the existence of the conspiracy. (See #1);
4. Evidence to the contrary is further proof of the existence of the conspiracy. (See #1);
5. Every and any coincidence is proof of the existence of the conspiracy. (See #1);
6. Proof of the existence of other conspiracies, even if completely unrelated, is further proof of the existence of all other conspiracies. (See #1)..

21. Obama wont because he's part of the Bush cabal. |
|
President Obama, like Cartman of South Park, has a huge transmitter/receiver up his anus which pops out when orders are sent to President Obama from the Bush Cabal. Most people don't see this because of a mind numbing drug imported from Paraguay by the Bushies and distributed by Wal-Mart. The reason George Bush missed so much time with the Texas Air National Guard was that he was flying in the drug from Paraguay in his private, souped up F-14 3/4D fighter jet. Those who have seen the combo transmitter/receiver pop out are either too afraid to talk or are killed. All photos taken of this extraordinary event are air-brushed by the corporate MSM. Those brave few who dare to speak the truth are quickly si
