The Stimulus Plan: A Detailed List of Spending:

Accountability $323,500,000

Aid to People Affected by Economic Downturn $36,910,807,000

Aid to State and Local Governments $58,355,000,000

Business $870,000,000

Education $48,420,000,000

Energy $41,400,000,000

Health Care $18,830,000,000

Other $2,147,000,000

Science and Technology $13,142,000,000

Transportation and Infrastructure $98,325,000,000


Investments in Education and Training include:

- $53.6 billion for the State Fiscal Stabilization Fund, including $39.5 billion to local school districts using existing funding formulas, which can be used for preventing cutbacks, preventing layoffs, school modernization, or other purposes; $5 billion to states as bonus grants for meeting key performance measures in education; and $8.8 billion to states for high priority needs such as public safety and other critical services, which may include education and for modernization, renovation and repairs of public school facilities and institutions of higher education facilities.

Because Sen. Graham keeps mumbling something about "we won". But sounds incoherent so who knows what lie they are saying now! :rofl:

I'm whining because the poor underfed military in this country figured out a way to get another 7$ Billion out of the deal. That isn't included a toxic cleanup cost and a a few other big ticket items.

Oh well, I see lots of work in this bill. May much work begin.

4. Yes, those are jobs, lots and lots of civilian jobs. They may even clean

the VA facilities. Soldiers pay taxes too. Should the buildings where they work, live and care for their families be left out of the package?



On edit, that's less than one percent of the entire package.

6. Not at all
If things had been handled over the last 8 years in the way they should have I'd suggest that military shouldn't be involved in such a package as we have chunked more into the defense of this country than ever imaginable. Of course, having been in the military I know that housing and buildings stateside are often subpar and got only worse in the Bush years.

Shame that defense infrastructure was so neglected during Bush that they had to play catch up in this bill after all the exploitation of the Bush criminal gang.

5. I see a little for R & D and a whole lot of
construction and jobs to benefit military personnel and their families. Looks like a whole lot of jobs in that list.
