Schuster on Schultz: The chattering class just doesn't get it
He's on Ed Schultz's show this morning.

In a nutshell, he's saying that the people are supporting Pelosi, Reid and Obama. Their numbers are up or just fine. He said that Frank Rich nailed it yesterday in his Op Ed. The beltway is out of touch with Americans who are largely supportive of the President.

He also pointed out the hypocrisy of some in the House who voted against the Stimulus but rushed to put out press releases about what parts of the bill they pushed to get in it.

4. Yes, it just ended - he was on for maybe 10 to 15 minutes
Btw, when he talked about members of the House being hypocrites he said they were the Republicans who voted against.

:hi:

3. Absolute total hypocrites.
Lindsey Graham was asked if SC should refuse the money. He said,"Well, let's not get crazy about this. If there is money to be had we'll take it." :banghead:

6. I take every opportunity I can to chide the Beltway pundits about..
how out of touch they are with where Obama is coming from and the public at large. One days they just might get it. But, Rich did a great job of calling them out yesterday.

12. just to be clear "The Beltway" isn't the problem. The punditocracy and Reps. are.
The people who live in DC and the surrounding communities, are for the most part, as rational, fair, and smart as people everywhere else.

14. That's what he meant by the "chattering class"
You're right. It's important to make it clear since the chattering goes on all over.
