8. It's Really A Shame - How Far We've Come - Yet How Far We Have To Go.....

when it boils down to it - many people in this country are against a black as president or for that matter any high position. I find it hard to believe that when I speak with my Repug friends - that they continue to throw out racist remarks. I really don't know what it will take to knock out this racial hatred in this country. The likes of people like Buchanan - on news shows - being able to make the comments that he makes - really doesn't help the cause.

19. My husband's mom has been married 4 times, his father twice. We are white.

Every community/race has its own issues. Divorce is huge across the board for everyone. The lack of involvement of parents in the lives of all children is serious. I am studying to be a preschool teacher. Kids this age have parents who have to work so much there is little time for the kids. That effects all races.
