Obama got a warm welcome in Ottawa.

On the radio this morning a baker that had met him yesterday,was saying how down to earth he was. And he got free cookies.

1. I was struck by how different

this trip was from any trip Bush took during his occupation of the White House. When shrubbo went somewhere, anywhere really, they had to set up protest pens for thousands, send out fake convoys to fool people as to his real whereabouts and at least once they sent an empty 747 ahead of Air Force 1 just in case someone was waiting to fire on it during landing.

Isn't it nice to be happy to see the President going to foreign countries again instead of worrying that he'll grope the German Chancellor or in some other way embarrass the shit out of all of us?
